The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is a British-based wine challenge held every year since 1984. All wines are judged in a blind tasting by top wine experts from all around the world (Masters of Wine, Sommeliers, importers, distributors, winemakers, prescriptors, critics and journalists). The chairmen of IWC (Tim Atkin MW, Sam Harrop MW, Oz Clarke, Peter McCombie MW y Charles Metcalfe) taste every single medal-winning wine, ensuring that only the best succeed.
The awards are trophy, gold, silver and bronze medals.
Wines from Bodegas Castaño had been tasted in “International Wine Challenge 2016 (IWC 2016)” and our red wine, GSM (2015), have won for the second consecutive year, a silver medal. Also our red wines, Hécula 2014 and Santa 2014, have obtained silver medals.
