The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is one of the most prestigious wine competitions organized, by the magazine Decanter, every year in London.
All wines are judged in a blind tasting by top wine experts from all around the world (Masters of Wine, Decanter journalists, experts and sommeliers).
This year over 16,000 wines from 46 different countries have been presented to the competition.
The different types of awards are: commended wines and platinum, gold, silver and bronze medals.
Bodegas Castaño have obtained three bronze medals in the latest “Decanter World Wine Awards” (2016). The wines which have been awarded are:
- Castaño Tinto: 88 points.
- Hécula: 86 points.
- Castaño Colección: 86 points.
